13 years. 3 winters of a dozen or so months. The world has changed again. Some say it's the ashes burning out. Others say it's a rebirth or perhaps a pupation into something completely new.

In various corners of the Continent, the survivors create new communities and groups that differ in customs, language, and, above all, their adopted method of survival.

The first step in creating a Survivor, the character you will play as during gameplay, is to choose their race.

Alongside humans, the Continent is inhabited by dwarves, naiym'vael, and the less common representatives of gnomes and ogres.
