How to lead a warband?

Nieco więcej o bandzie Ocalałych

The Warband Sheet is a simple yet incredibly useful tool that allows you to add more interaction, planning, resource utilization, and more to your adventures!

Warbands in Afterglow are often formed by Survivors from different corners of Alepin, belonging to different factions, races, practicing different cults and religions, and guided by different principles. This multi-colored mosaic is, on the one hand, a great asset that introduces many interesting elements during gameplay, both mechanical and related to role-playing. However, it is also a field for quarrels, disputes and mutual animosity among the characters.

The Grind Counter allows you to better indicate how the relationships between warband members influence their actions, trust in each other and willingness to help (or, on the contrary, reluctance, distrust and hostility).

The card is also used to record information about the warband and its achievements, and to track its development. Here you will find sections such as Achievements, Reputation, Hideouts, Vehicles, Common Gear, Enemies and Allies. They allow you to add even more color to your adventures and introduce additional activities in between. Warbands usually start their adventure with empty columns, but over time they begin to fill up and the gang ceases to be an abstract, out-of-context entity. They become a creations firmly embedded in the created world, connected with it and its inhabitants.

A common pool of Desperation markers and a pool of Luck are placed on the card. Additional Trick cards can also be placed here. All of these things allow the warband to more easily overcome adversity and fight the enemies placed before them by the Rememberer.

The last but equally important element is Resources. The card allows you to better monitor this element of the game mechanics. These resources indicate whether the warband has enough food, ammunition, fuel, or various useful items that can be used during or between adventures. In the 2nd edition of Afterglow PGF, some character Skills allow you to acquire Resources between adventures (looters search ruins, traders exchange goods, swindlers and thieves appropriate other people's property, hunters hunt...). Others offer the possibility of additional use, for example by repairing, building or upgrading equipment belonging to the warband. This new mechanic is especially interesting for people who enjoy resource management and crafting elements in games.

Is the Warband Sheet worth adding to Afterglow: Post-Apocalyptic Roleplaying Game? Absolutely!
